Question: Having talked to some of your students and the Sambodha teachers, as well as now having attended some of your free lectures, I have heard the term oracular or Saumedhika used to refer to the kind of sight you carry. Can you tell us a little more about what Saumedhika is and what it means to have that kind of sight?

Aaravindha: Earlier in my life I referred to Saumedhika as oracular. My reason for using the term oracular was simply due to a lack of any alternative euro-western references. It was just a few years ago, after having spent a late summer in a hidden and very remote Himalayan valley, when I heard its correct name used for the first time. One very lovely sunny morning, I received an explanation of it, offered from one of the Six Amartya Masters who live there. He went into quite an advanced description of it. For the sake of simplicity, I’ll share just his initial description: He referred to it as “Saumedhika Vibhuti,” comparing it to a limitless spring from where untainted or hidden high Self Knowledge can be recovered or cognized directly from within a Vault of pure ethereal Knowledge, which he called the “Nabho’ghana Akash.” He also wanted to affirm that he was fully aware that it was not new to me, that I have offered it in Seva for many former lives. Words can’t fully describe the delight I found in being in the presence of this great Immortal being.
Question: Is it a kind of channeling or psychic ability?
Aaravindha: When people first hear of it, they often assume Saumedhika is a kind of psychic phenomenon. ESP (ExtraSensory Perception) has little to do with it. Channeling has nothing to do with it. ESP results from a kind of heightened sensitivity, which allows a subtle sensory awareness of unseen or hidden aspects of life that is typically out of ones perceptual range of experience. Saumedhika sight can employ those sensitivities but isn’t bound by them. Everyone is somewhat psychic. How psychic one is, is relative to their developed degree of sensory sensitivity.
The typical intellectual functions of the human mind are predominantly time dependent; limited to a sequential linear order. Saumedhika bridges linear time to a non-linear unrestricted receptivity, which allows any moment or object in creation, regardless of time or place, to be revealed in its wholeness at once. For example: Through Saumedhika, a person isn’t solely experienced in the way he or she might commonly appear. Instead, that person is also experienced directly, as the quintessential Divine Will and Power that makes apparent and sustains his or her forming through the past, present and future. It also allows insight into both the supportive and destructive karmic forces that are affecting ones fundamental awareness through this and former lives.
Saumedhika sight is an open ended awareness of our Sole Perceiver; God/Goddess forever spiraling in and out of expression. The destiny of every soul is intimately and forever adjoined to the Will of this Divine Perceiver. We can call that their Dharma. If anyone loses their way or their Dharma is somehow obstructed, it shows up similar to how a shadow restricts the light of the sun. The light here represents the Illumining Power of the High Self. In turn, this allows me to act for those seeking their most essential relationship, their relationship that most eloquently leads to Self Realization.
Question: I’m assuming an Amartya Master is an immortal being?
Aaravindha: Yes, that’s right!
Question: What an extraordinary blessing for you to have been in their company! I hope you’ll tell us more about that experience. But before you do, could you tell us a little more about your Saumedhika sight? It must have been wonderful growing up with it? What was that like?
Aaravindha: It’s quite natural to assume that having an ability like Saumedhika sight in ones youth, or throughout ones life must have been exciting; Yet for me, it wasn’t without its hardships and challenges. For the largest part of my youth, I was often preoccupied with simply learning how to mature or grow into it. One of my biggest challenges was in learning how to fit in socially. Learning what to say and when to be silent as well as how to act or behave knowing and seeing what I could, proved quite difficult for me. Especially in my early youth, having Saumedhika available exposed me to a variety of experiences that were either too advanced for me to understand, or on occasion, too harsh for me to know how to endure. Having Saumedhika makes it virtually impossible to mentally deny or repress anything. Saumedhika sight simply is. It is both beautiful and raw. It’s a kind of eternal resource of unlimited values that present the true light of knowing in its purity. In order for that knowing to come about, it cannot be exclusive of the shadows that obstruct that light. Saumedhika reveals without prejudice or predilection.
Certainly, there is the finer side of this sort of experience; the best of which for me was the ability to see and experience the unique sights hidden to the common eye. I came to know flowers not only by their sight and smell but also by their tones. Experiencing nature deities was as natural as seeing anything else in life. I can recall spending many summer afternoons laying in the soft green grasses of our family property, looking skyward, mentally tracing living yantras as they moved across the blue sky. In childhood, Saumedhika was like having another possibility to experience life through. I remember an endless range of beautiful experiences available to me as a child. And... there were also my vulnerabilities to contend with.

Question: Can you be a little more specific?
Aaravindha: My primary vulnerability was the naiveté of my youth. In our world’s normal perception of life, there exist specific parameters whereto the five senses are tuned. Not only do those parameters act as boundaries in which we learn to function, they also provide a kind of protection from unseen forces that might otherwise wreak havoc in our lives. Try imagining not having those protective parameters existing as the limit of your perception. Obviously that would avail a much broader reach of experience between the contrasts of light and dark, right, and wrong, and so on. There is an old saying; “out of sight, out of mind.” What if, what you wouldn’t wish to experience was not out of sight? As a Saumedhika child this was especially challenging, as I truly had no one to talk to, or council me in this regard. This was because Saumedhika is very rare; something our world is uncommonly familiar with. Fortunately, as I progressed through my early years, I also discovered therein my connection to the sacred. It was through that discovery that I was able to connect with those that provided me with the support I needed. That discovery became, and continues to be my primary source of inspiration.
Question: You say that your discovery of the sacred led you to those that you could connect to for support. Was that the Amartya Masters? Can you tell us who or what was supporting you?
Aaravindha: In this life, I am very grateful to have been blessed with an awareness of three guiding sources of inspiration. Each of which has quietly helped foster my personal Spiritual Realizations, as well as support me in the retrieval of much of our core Sambodha knowledge. I have already mentioned one of those sources; my relationship to the Great “Amara Manusya Masters.” I first became aware of the Amartyas at the age of six, when one of them physically came to my aid during a time in my childhood when I was experiencing extreme difficulty and confusion. I have benefited from their guidance my entire life. In the summer of 2004 I received their invitation to come visit them in the Himalayas. I began that journey in the summer of 2006. It turned out to be an extremely strenuous trek that lead me to their sacred valley in a very remote and difficult to reach mountainous region. That became the most important and meaning filled adventure of my life, bringing to completion many lifetimes of personal spiritual quests.

My second source of inspiration was intimate to the former. It was my rediscovery of my connection to our ancient “Solar Tradition,” which in old Sanskrit is referred to as the “Acararka Paramapara Devapatha.” This oldest of names refers to a never ending Holy tradition of the Sun, which has secretly endured the timeless. Seemingly without beginning or end it continues through an unending line of fully illumined Masters. I have founded the Sambodha community to act as a portal between the holy inspiration and Knowledge of this Solar Tradition and those sincere beings in our world who have chosen to make their lives their path to Self Realization.
My third source of inspiration evolved as naturally as my ability to breathe. As long as I can remember I felt an underlying Presence resting at the heart of life. I’ve come to know that Presence as the “Ura” the spiritual heart of our one Divine Mother; which has for me always represented the illumining Power of God. She is the light in the flame, the Joy in true Seva, the call of our Dharma and the effortless way of true Compassion. In an undefended heart, She is both its yearning and the answer that comes to fulfill it... She is “Divine Lila,” God’s play. And... She is the silence watching... When we give up all resistance to Truth, She becomes our Love. For each of us in our own unique way, She is what we will Realize in our enlightenment. On that journey, Her beauty becomes our guide. We discover it through our acts of sincerity, generosity, gratefulness, humility, patience, kindness, and devotion. Hers is the whisper that calls us to return to our innocence and therein discover the true meaning in all forms of relationship. Inevitably, we will all Realize Her as both our Lover and the Beloved.
Question: Those are some rich and inspiring sources! You mentioned they have helped you retrieve much of your teachings, or what I have heard referred to as the Sambodha core knowledge. Can you give us some specific examples of that knowledge and tell us a little about how they can be applied?
Aaravindha: Before I answer that question I should first explain that the kind of knowledge we are involved in bringing forth is quite vast and varied. A large part of the core knowledge is offered freely without cost or hindrance to nearly any sincere being who promises to honor it in the light that it is given. Other aspects of the more advanced knowledge may require some training to fully understand or apply. So it may be necessary to learn it in seminar format or through study groups. We now have quite a few trained teachers, which are quickly increasing in number around the world. As for the kind of knowledge; our core knowledge ranges from very simple and easily accessible, to extremely advanced knowledge that has previously not been available anywhere else. Although we can, and often do focus on retrieving knowledge that can aid in physical well being or healing, most of the knowledge we focus our attention on is based on supporting the awakening soul to achieve a complete Self Empowerment or Self Realization.

Depending on the needs of our students, our teachers, or the world in general, our offering of knowledge is distilled appropriately. As I’ve stated already, it can be quite varied. Knowledge can be relative to physical, energetic, lower, or higher Self principles. We are offering the world ancient, new, and newly refined healing techniques, as well as advanced meditation techniques, knowledge that can enhance ones relationship to life, and of course, knowledge that leads to enlightenment. Knowledge that is physically oriented can be used to bring about well being, healing, longevity or the maximization of our environmental or bodily potential. Knowledge that is energetically oriented is primarily used to increase or bring into balance energetic polarities that in turn support the mind and body into an alignment to the High Self. Knowledge that is intellectually oriented is primarily relative to cleansing the varying layers of our mental body. The archives of Sambodha knowledge are growing daily. There is no end to the range of knowledge that can be brought into expression for the good of humankind.
In short: My intent in bringing forth knowledge is threefold; One of the categories of knowledge we focus on is designed to apply refinements to scientific and spiritual knowledge that our world is already somewhat aware of. There are many wonderful techniques and practices that have arrived through a variety of traditions that are already really very helpful and applicable. Another category of knowledge we focus on involves bringing forward powerful ancient practices and techniques that have been missing or lost to our world; which might include high temple knowledge that may have in the past only been available to most spiritually adept. And, our third category involves knowledge that is newly formed out of the vast structure of knowledge that is yet to be tapped. An enormous reservoir of knowledge is still waiting to be uncovered. Therein lie the greatest secrets of our universe.
Question: Let’s say I was a complete stranger in search of God and truth, And looking for guidance I truly wanted to know who you are; what could you tell me about yourself; something that could actually help me come to understand you?
Aaravindha: The wise know when not to say too much! Especially about one’s self. Everything we say about whom we are will one day have to be swept away if we’re to discover our freedom to be. We spend lifetimes in search of the someone we might be. It is exactly that pursuit that traps us in our limitation and suffering. I’d tell that stranger to stop trying to know me, it’s a waste of his or her time. First come to know yourself and then you will instantly recognize me. We cannot know anyone until we are free to experience ourselves without the pressures born out of the defenses or ambitions of whom we might think we are, or believe we might become. Instead, become like a child, innocent and receptive. Rediscover your humility and patience, your kindness, and compassion.
Everything that is true about me is already there within you. Everything else is just a game.
