The Translation Team has the job of translating all of Aaravindha’s written texts. This includes for example, Aaravindha’s regular contribution to the MOM, but also other comprehensive works, such as the new Sanskrit dictionary, which is meant to help Aaravindha’s seminar participants to better understand the seminar contents. Guided meditations or interviews which are to be published in magazines are also part of the repertoire.
In the Translation Team, the work is set up in such a way that one person does a structured first translation, which is then fine-tuned by the other team members. Here the team is constantly challenged to catch the nuances in Aaravindha’s words (tone) correctly and to pass the contents on in as true to original a form as possible on the one hand, however, on the other hand, to not let the German end product sound too much like a translation. This is not always easy, especially in view of the frequent poetic note in Aaravindha’s texts, since translated poetry is subject to the danger that it can easily sound corny. After all, the German text should flow and inspire, and not let the reader stumble over words or formulations.
